Hello Gents: Just trying to find out whether this watch has a designated model name as I found it unusual being marked in 5 places: Dial, Movement, Case, Crown and Band. The case is marked L2 opposite the serial number and the is a small BXW on the movement. It is white gold plated and runs and sets very strong. Any information would be much appreciated, as I am a basic beginner to watches. Thank you, Marty
It's a Director. Look in the database under that name, and you'll see this model starting in 1950.
P.S. FYI - We're not all "gents" here. :>)
This is a Bulova Director. BXW indicates that this watch was manufactured and assembled in Switzerland and imported into the US. Pretty rare in white gold. Mostly seen in yellow gold.

Dear Gents & Gentles:
First...........allow me to apologize for using only "gents" in my first post. From now my salutation will be to both gents & gentles. ;-)
Second........I appreciate the information sent about my watch, at least I know that it's a keeper for daily wear.
Thanks
It's a very fine watch and definitely a keeper. As Jay said, the white gold is an excellent find. If you decide not to keep it, please drop me a note.
