1952 Director "A" mounted on a correct period Bretton band. Case and movement both marked L2. Missing tip of hour hand, otherwise pretty nice with only a hint of plating wear on high points of case ribs. Face was hideous when purchased with what looked like black mold on it. Cleaned up good enough for me. Keeping accurate time at present.

1952 Director "A" it is

Thanks Kathy!
Agree with Director 'A' from 1952. Looks like it has been a well used and enjoyed watch, noting the worn down crown; nice find!

Crown does show outer edge wear, but overall a nice example of a survivor. I actually paid more for the band it's mounted on than I did for the watch that came to me on a 60's Speidel twist-o-flex. It's a great "daily driver".
1952 Director 'A' it is.
Nice one Bob
