1951 Bulova Windsor with unusually little wear on the lugs. Finally completed after two years of on again/off again work!
That is an amazingly clean watch. NOS or serviced? Original band as well....very nice!
Certainly agree with it being a 1951 Bulova Windsor
It's serviced.
The dial that it originally had was not great, but I was able to miraculously find an NOS dial for it last year.
The crystal had scratches but cleaned up well after careful polishing off-the-case.
The movement had some rust on the set lever and yoke (replaced), but the base and set bridge were rust-free. A new alloy mainspring was also installed.
The case outer was filthy and needed thorough (but very careful) cleaning.
Nice job bringing this one back to life Stan, it sure is a beautiful watch.
1951 Windsor
Excellent Windsor
That's an eye-catcher! Very nice job restoring it, 51 Windsor
Ditto to all
That is fantastic.... one of my first Bulova's was one of these guys. I love this style of watch. We couldn't find the name for quite awhile. I'll agree with the Windsor.
This really pops. Windsor.
