I think it will be the Academy Award "ZZ" as here

you can specify whether there is a L1 or L2 stamp on the back of the case to determine the year of manufacture

Hello DRPJS, welcome to myBulova. Your watch looks to be in very nice condition. I agree with Jaroslav about it being an Academy Award model. It looks like the date code on the back is L1 for 1951, thanks for sharing it.

Welcome to myBulova!  You watch looks to be in wonderful condition. 

It is always nice to see a photo of the movement to verify the date stamp and jewel count.  If you ever take it to a jeweler ask to take a photo when they open it.  They are more than happy to do so.  Also please confirm the date stamp on the case, looks like L1 in the photo.
