Forgot to say movement is also marked L1.
Yep, AA "P" and a nice one too. Nice to see you got the display case too. Those are hard to find anymore. Last One I saw sold for $78.00, ridiculas price if you were to ask me.
I'm good with AA, and gotta double check the "P" variante part out.

Will,
It is the " P " variant. I've hunted down the AA's for ten years, have had several of this model not knowing what I had but we did ID it. I believe the ad is in the forum section, it's grainy and doesn't show the dial well but we all agreed on the one I posted , Ads are here as well,
Yaeh I got the whole thing as a package deal.Like I said there's a chip out of the bottom left corner of the box but altogether it's not that bad.I don't think I paid $78.00 for the whole thing.

Well, You got a helluva bargain, Congrats!!
I have another one of these but with the replacement crystal, curved in four directions.

I think they came with both plain and quadranted as I have both in vintage glass with my keeper.. I also have 4 more in the works with both types so it's hard to say. I don't like the quadrented crystal as much as the plain one so I have the plain one on mine but kept the quad just in case it is the original design as I believe it is. Either way, it's one of my favourite Bulova designs. I used to call this the " Flash " as it reminded me of Flash Gorden's lighting bolt emblem on his costume. I've restored one for each of my brothers as I liked it so much. Let's hope they don't have any more boys to pass them on to. LOL
AA "P" nice watch
+1, nice combo.
