I was delighted to find and purchase this one this week. I believe it is an Academy Award "L".
The case is 14k yellow gold. It has unique lugs and is a very petite watch like the "M" and "KK". The case and movement are date stamped L1. The dial is in pretty nice shape and the movement is working. The crystal was very scratch so I had a new crystal installed and I installed a NOS band.
Kathy, one day you need to post a photo of your entire Bulova Academy Award ladies watch collection. It would be most impressive.
That's another letter variant crossed off your list :-)

Third times a charm. I was outbid on the first two I tried to buy. I think I was meant to have this one : ) overall the best example of the dial and it works. Felt like a kid on Christmas morning yesterday after getting the crystal replaced and the band put on.
I'll do that photo one day, hopefully when I have them all!

I don't find any ads stating color, but this is the only $71.50 variant, so likely there was not a white gold version. Academy Award 'L'.

Thanks Ken. I agree probably only the yellow on this one. Some of these are more pretty in person and this is one of those, I really like it.
