This one has an interesting case and lugs. I believe it is an Academy Award "DD".
It has a 10K yellow gold filled case that is date stamped L1. The 6BC working 21 jewel movement is also date stamped L1.
The GS catalog has the CC287 as the crystal for the AA "DD" but I used a CC286-90 that is the same shape and size but has a lower profile. I also installed a NOS nylon cord band. I bought a big batch of band watch parts a while back that has been so nice to have.
An ad stating "DD" as yellow.
Just another Academy Award watch in Kathy's collection.....yawn. just kidding Kathy. I think this is the first DD - Keep 'em coming! We have the FF already so you have you mission - we need AA, EE & GG now.
