I believe this is a Watertite model from 1950. Just picked this one up in a lot of other watches nd really didn't pay much attention to iit. Trying to decide if it is worth restoring or not, need service, crystal and case work. Thoughts?
Hi Reinking71, welcome to myBulova. My theory on restoration is simple. If it's a reasonable cost and I want to wear the watch, I restore it. I really don't consider the final value although I should. I end up with a few watches on which my investment outweighs the worth of the watch but I love them all the same.
In terms of ID, I'm torn. We have an old record of a 1950 Watertite that I'm a but suspicious of, I'm not sure it's a good ID

Yours doesn't match either the case or the dial. When I look at this ad though, I think we have a match

Watertite
The challenge would be finding the crystal to fit that case.
Thank you for your help.
Watertite
Watertite, and there's the '50' inside the case back for 1950.
I think I can make out the inside case back
Stainless Steel, Bulova Watch Co. Swiss, LO, 45710.
What's stamped on the outside case back?
Posted a couple of new pics to help. The back of the case is blank, no number no date code. The inside of the case is marked:
Stainless
Steel
Bulova
Watch Co.
Swiss
50
45710

Thanks
Looks like a 1950 Watertite to me.
50 Watertite.
If you can give me the measurement of the crystal I may be able to find one. I will need the crystal height also.
