Here is an interesting one with a stunning "tropical" dial that is toned from original silver/white to a shiny gold in the center. Stainless back with a RGP case. Both movement and case dated 1950 (L0). Running and keeping time.
This is the third example of this watch added to the Db. The first 2 were submitted by member 1955mercury in 2015. At that time, this model was noted as looking like an engraved AA, with the suggestion it might be a "Thornton" based on crystal specs.

I've gone through the ads and don't find a match. Maybe some fresh eyes and research can finally put this one to bed.
Not finding this style with the engraved bezel, going with Unknown for now.
