I cannot find any other example of this watch. The case is marked 'bulova' on the outside of the case back. No marking on the inside of the case back. 14K SOLID rose gold with White gold elements. Similar to Broadcaster, but obviously different. Movement has the arrow mark (1942 or 1932 - but I assume it's 1942). Dial has been redone :( Bracelet is solid 14K Rose gold Kreisler band. Crystal is about 18mm by 22mm
I would say this is a 1942. Rose gold was rather popular in the 40s lineup of models. I could not find an ad showing this watch, but it sure is stunning looking!

Hello srh11293, welcome to myBulova. This is a VERY nice watch. It seems that Bulova didn't make may watches in solid gold so they're always special when they come our way. I've looked a couple times and also don't find any ads that match your watch. The dial seems to in keeping with the general style so it may have been refinished to match the original. Do you know anything of the history of this beauty?

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I do not have any additional information on this watch. I know for sure that the dial has been obviously redone, but it looks good and appropriate for the watch/age. I was told by the seller (in New Orleans) that the band is likely original. That's another thing, I really have never seen these Kreisler watch bands in solid 14K rose gold.
I wonder if this isn't the Jefferson?
Slightly different case - notice the four ribs between the larger white gold ones between the lugs. Subject watch has only three between. Subject watch also looks a bit taller but maybe not, and the dial font is different. I'm not sure this one is the Jefferson.
It might be Jefferson, as it is the closest compared to all other models. Both Jefferson in the ad and my watch have 21 j movements (7AP). Obviously Jefferson model changed over the years, as the 1950s version of Jefferson is very much different. As such, there is a possibility that in the early 40s Bulova would adjust this model fron year to year. Does anyone know the date of the ad shown in the previous post?

Soooo close on this one. Just a small line difference in the engraving on the outer lug.

I think what we are seeing is the bracelet version of the watch shown in the advert, that or a very close bracelet design that matches the lug ends.
I think a Bulova Congressman is still a great ID.
