I certainly looks familiar to me but I could not find a match in the ads or the 1940's forum. Looks like yet another unknown.

Based on this ad from 1946 which is 5 years later than the watch this could possible be a 1941 Bulova Paulette.

I do believe you are right Jim. The ends do angle down giving the stepped look of the advert.
