1949 His Excellency with 3 diamonds - located at 12, 3, and 9 number positions. The case is etched (lack of the correct term) all the way around, including on the lugs.
INSIDE THE WATCH: 17 Jewels U.S. Bulova Watch Company 8AC (rectangular shape around these) A9
INSDE BACK COVER: Bulova Fifth Avenue New York
BACK OF WATCH 10K Filled Gold Plate Bulova A9 1598780 (under the case serial # is a TAB that allows the back to be removed with the use of a finger)
NOTE **I am very interested in what the experts/panel think. I narrowed the watch to the "his excellency" looking at pics under 1949 on this site, but none are as fancy as this watch. None have the 3 diamonds OR the fancy case design, including design on the lugs.
In reply to you watch is not His by jabs
WOW, that was FAST. thanks for the information. The Tuxedo costs more than "his excellency", so better yet. Really love this watch. Can't wait to learn more. Thanks so much! Scott
**NOTE: the stem on the watch is signed, Bulova
Yes, it's Tuxedo, nice one too.
Sharp watch! Agree with Tuxedo
Tuxedo gets my vote.
