I believe this watch was a Bar Mitzvah gift for my father, who was born in 1932. No question in mmy mind that it's a Tuxedo.
It has been cleaned and oiled professionally, and appraised by a DCA gemologist. It runs well and so far keeps extraordinarily good time - has not lost a minute in the week I've had it back from the jewelers.
What a lovely heirloom from your father : )
I think you are correct by this ad.

There is nothing finer than a treasured family heirloom, especially one that can be traced to a milestone in the original owners life. I am delighted that you still have it and chosen to honor your father by maintaining and (hopefully) wearing it. This watch should be able to stand the test of many generations with proper care. Perhaps it can even be gifted to another generation for a very special occasion. Thank you for sharing it.

We certainly don't see too many of these with the original gold bracelet. Congratulations on owning such a wonderful piece and one that has personal history. As Geoff said, wear it with pride and past it down to the next generation with the story of your father attached. A wonderful heirloom!
1946 Bulova Tuxedo "A" certainly get my vote as well.
Beautiful heirloom on original band. You are fortunate to have it.
