Well unlike the same dial in a Senator case... this is in fact the picture!
Is this the real Spencer then folks?
It looks quite a bit different than the other 1945 Spencer of Marks in our database. This is more of a curved President type case rather than the Senator type case.
Notice the protective cover metal flap on the bottom. This is my second watch to have that... the other is that mint Senator I have.
Found as is.... just a little brasso and a polishing cloth got it looking like that.
Sir Jerin,
It may just be? Or perhaps?? (Got crystal catalogs???)

Great... I was wrong (3) times, now?!?! I sent either the Rado City or the Drake to Philip, then???? WHY did I ever turn you on to the "IDing" thang!? LOL. (You were born to "sleuth..." bro...)

Sometimes you won't accept the proof once you have made up your mind. That sure can make Bulova History go awry in a New York second!
need a bit of brasso & some elbow grease for my 1943 Spencer. I want mine rubbed down to the sterling silver base metal. Whenever you have some spare time. Thanks

Wait... I dunno if you mean I did good... or bad? Haha! Just tell me which one I did!!
Uhmmm... errrr... uhhhh I'm thinking that dial might need a bit of sand blastin my friend. case looks ok though.
I'm wondering if my rose gold band is original to the watch... it's in almost flawless shape?

Ya Dun Good! I thought it was a sin to remove patina from an aged dial, but this might be an exception. LOL Well, a bead blaster would be mo betta. My rose gold color band is original.
Could be the Design transition Year.
The 8AH You show is stamped in unusual spot. The Date stamp is typically always in corner by the Balance, as highlighted in Yellow.

The Circle located there on Your movement would date its initial production to 1944.
The Second stamp is the Triangle, indicating an early 1945 production date, using a left over movement from '44?

1945 Spencer / 1945 Spencer IMO
The Spencer debate is located here http://www.mybulova.com/node/1442 if anyone who would like to continue it?

What does the 18 mean on this 47 8AH??

Shouldn't it be a square, or triangle??
You mean 'confuse' it not 'continue' it dont ya Mark ?
Jerin whats the "BXW" on your movement? Haven't seen that, or am I just not seeing it??

You know what... I dunno Shooter... heh. I've seen it on quite a few movements but never asked. I'm sure one of our watchmakers will know.

Shooter,
'BXW' is the hallmark for a Swiss made Bulova movement.
Whats with all of these copper dials with exploded white numbers?
Rose Gold and Copper must had been the thing in 1945.
