Unsure of an ID for this one. The case has the same shape as a Spencer but the dial seems wrong. Case is deep yellow gold color. I have a couple of rose gold watches and this color seems off from those, but still different than normal yellow gold(may just be wear and aging). Exploding style dial with black numbers. Serial number begins with a 1 and the 8AE movement has an asterisk so I believe it is a 1941 watch. As always, thanks for any information!
I think this one is a 1941 Bulova President. We have President E in rose gold and exploding dial and this might be an unknown variant.
The early 1940's 'PRESIDENT' were 21J.

Ah yes missed that. Thanks.
Hi bjohn123. The dial on your watch appears to be incorrect for the case. The minutes track is visible on the left side about half way up from the bottom to the top and across the top. But it appears to be a refurbished dial and could be the printing wasn't centered well on the dial.
I don't buy the refinished dial bit, I think We are seeing distortion created by the Crystal. The watch is possibly an early version of the 'SPENCER'
The same dial is found on this 1945 version Bulova 1945 Spencer | myBulova.com
Reading through the comments. Dial could have been refinished, but I don’t think so. The crystal does has a bevel near the edge that distorts the outer track depending on angle, like FifthAveRes suggested. I can see the track all around if I angle the watch slightly as I look at each side. Movement and dial fit tight inside the case. Maybe the crystal is a replacement and original would not have had this effect. I am headed to work now, but this evening will try to post an additional picture of the dial removed from the watch.
Thanks for everyone’s input on this one.
This is what makes me think it's a refinished dial. The second hand runs in a recessed circle on the dial. The printing around that recess is off center.

I see what you mean. You may be right about the refinished dial. The numbers and outer track are definately moved farther to the outside as well. I uploaded two more pics. One of the dial and one side by side with a Spencer so the number and track position differences show. The finish on this dial is definately rough which I thought might be age, but maybe its the quality of a refinish. Thanks for your input!
On the fourth picture (dial) I can see a notch under the 6,would that not reflect a refinished dial?
