Bulova rose gold, President "E" men's watch. The advert from 1945 I found on this site says "pink gold".
My Grandma gave this to my Grandpa for his 23rd birthday in 1945. The year he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after WWII had ended. The back of the case is engraved with: "To Tony With Love Rosemarie 9-25-45" .........9/25/22 was my Grandpa's birthday.
Outside case markings: Serial number 4272658, 14K Gold Filled Bulova(see photos)
Inside case markings: Bulova, 14K Gold Filled, New York. The engraving is very faded and rubbed off(see photos), but I managed to decipher what it says.
Watch band markings: 1/20 - 10K Gold filled Top, Pat. Pending, Jaeckel
Movement markings: Bulova Watch Co., 21 Jewels, 7AK, ∆, F S
-Copper dial
- Blue steel hands
- Seconds dial
- Vivid white Art Deco numbers on the dial
Great patina. Watch band is missing one link(see photos), but is wearable. it's a family heirloom piece that I wear and will hand down to the younger generations in my family.
I would welcome any other info., like what does Jaeckel mean on the watch band? Is that the makers mark?

Thanks! It has nice patina and is working. I will upload more photos soon. One outer rose gold link is missing on the outside bottom of the band. The stainless steel band mechanism is exposed on that one link, but can still wear. I had a local jeweler get it working and polish it up.
