Unsure of date; there are 3 date codes with triangle: 1926, 1935, and 1945.
Everything points to a 1945 date on this watch. Looks to be the unengraved version of the 1945 Bulova Buckingham Pocket Watch noting the dongle might have been changed at some point. Great to see it with the original case and the chain is a nice touch.

Nice package whencehecame . The best way to determine the year by the date code, when there's more than one year represented is to look up the years the particular movement was made in the movement data base on the the site. In this case the 17AH was made between 1945 - 1961. I had to look up dongle. I didn't know the meaning of that word. It's the watch chain. I don't recall ever seeing and ad with the chain included.
1945 Bulova Buckingham is a good match
If the site is now identifying watch models by their Dial and Hands then it is a match, the Case is not a match.
ad is 1946

The crown guard which I think is commonly referred to as a 'Bow' of the subjct watch is certainly different from that of the Buckingham and a good match for the Triumph.

These pocket watches can be tricky. The subject watch "bezel" and dial/font looks the same to me. The hands match the Buckingham but not the bow. The bow matches the Triumph but the hands to not match the ad. Also the Montgomery seems to match the Bow and bezel but not the font. I think based on the case bow and font I agree with Fifth and this is a Triumph with possible replaced hands or a variant with original hands. We have only one ad confirming this model but it seems to be the best fit to a Triumph.

I did find another advert showing the case with matching bow, but it was unnamed.

In looking at the Hands of the black and white 'TRIUMPH' illustration:
The Hour Hand does not match the Minute hand, the Minute Hand being 'Index style' matching the subject Watch. Being that the illustration is just that, an illustration I think the Hand discrepancy can be attributed to artist rendition error.
