Hi all
this is another ladies watch l have picked up . It is in very good condition apart from needing a new crystal . It looks as though the owner to care of it as it has been serviced a few times over its life. the 17 jewel 6AH movement is running well and keeping time. It is marked with a triangle for 45 and the case serial number starts with a 5 again denotes the 1945 manufacture date. the case is 10K gold filled and has two diamonds in silver at each lug. The crown is marked Bulova and the band is gold plated Spiedel stainless steel. Having looked through the ads I think this watch may be an "Ethel" from the details in the ad, but I will leave that decision up to the panel
regards George
I've looked through everything we have and don't see anything quite like this one George. Here's a close up on Ethel, I don't think it's her either
For now, I'd have to say Unknown.
I think you have a "Godess of Time "R"" George.
In reply to I think you have a "Godess of by 1955mercury
Great ad find Alan (wondering how I missed that one......)
Hi Alan
yep l believe your right. your back on form my friend, thanks
Goddess of Time "R" sure looks like a good ID. THe diamonds usually look bigger in the ads. Several 1945 GOT w/o diamonds have stainless backs. Maybe all the diamond versions have gold (plate) case backs.
