Dear Steven, your watch is the Goddess of Time from 1937, named after the painting Bulova had commissioned to Coles Phillips and used in their advertising as from 1922. Also this website uses the Goddess of Time as their logo, see the top of this page. Very beautiful.

1937 Bulova Goddess of Time "A" is a good match.   These cord straps are easy to find on ebay.

Is Brasso the only polish or cleaner.

I wouldn't polish it. It's rolled gold plated and when you polish one you're not removing the scratches, you're removing the plating down to the level of the scratch. A scratch looks better than plating loss. I'd just clean the case with some gold jewelry cleaner, preferably in a sonic cleaner.  But that's just my opinion.
