The Bulova Surgeon aka Doctor's Dial watch. Thought to be marketed to members of the medical field. One of the first watches to have the large seconds hand.
Two dials out there black and white. This is of course the white.
Sports a 10BAC, 17 Jewel movement.
I resubmit this as a Blackhawk, white dialed version.
Even speaks to a "Khaki cloth band". Different than the pigskin advertised with the two tone.
I put forth all "Surgeons" with lumi hands and dials from this timeframe are Blackhawks regardless of dial color.

I think you bring up a very good point. The 1942 ad we have for the Surgeon (should point out this is a Canadian ad) clearly shows applied or non luminous gold markers and gold hands. The same ad shows the Black Hawk as luminous. I think the new ads we have supports the Black Hawk coming in both Black, White and Black/White luminous marker dials with luminous hand and suspect the Surgeon might have come in Black and White in applied or printed gold marker dials with gold hand options. I think we should revisit the Surgeons we have ID'd to date.

Still needs to be the Blackhawk.
