This is the Bulova Blackhawk is double date stamped with the Circle and the Triangle for 1944-45.
This model was originally thought to be a Bulova Surgeon, but recently found ad's show it to be a military styled watch. It is quite possible that the Blackhawk and the Surgeon are the same watch with a dial variant as we have found was done with several models in the WWII-era watches, one for civilian and one for military motif.
Identification found here in a 1941 Montgomery Ward Ad for the Blackhawk

Great find. It's the first 2-tone I've seen. Good Luck with it.

Thanks Wayne... I found a little something else in another auction a couple day's later I'll post when I get it.
I really dig the two tone on this. Hopeing it will clean up nicely.
I toss the case into plain old warm water and dish detergent then have at it with the Wifes toothbrush lol! (jk, I use an old one). The warm water and detergent will help melt the adhesive holding the crystal, it should fall out. Let the case soak, Gold wont rust so dont be afraid, I've done quite a few now: ) scrub it up then dry it off. Polish with some brasso on a clean cloth, You'll be surprised at how nice it will come up. Nice find!
Sweet... I'll try it tonight after the kiddies go to bed!
AH HA!!! The two tone is original!! I found another one! Woot! Even right down to the iridescent paint on the numbers and the blue seconds hand! Only difference is this one shows a date stamp of 1944... four years newer than mine.
Found on Ebay listing here:
Updated with some decent pictures.... thanks for looking.

I received the Doctors dial type watch. It turned out to be a 1 inch square watch that is on the femine side size-wise. It will befun to find out the Bulova name for this one. Head Nurse or something on that order.

Well Wayne that'll be two of us with it then... I picked up the same one recently... haha!
At least we know it's original now!
BULOVA "NURSE," "AIR NURSE," or "FLIGHT NURSE," perhaps? Got crystal specs??
:-) Scott
It was known as the Canadian Nurse in Canada and the American Nurse here in the USA.
