I got this watch is part of a watch lot I picked up from a clock guy. Nothing special but it is a classic style. It is running, but I need to service it--low amplitude but near perfect beat.
Genuine leather band in good shape.
Nice one, thanks for sharing with us. Based on style, movement date stamp and case s/n, your watch dates to 1941. I believe it to be a
1941 Norman, like this one.

Thanks. I was not sure about classifying the shape. I see that 1941 Norman you linked has case style: Tonneau. I thought: cushion, but I am not up to speed on case styles since the overwhelming majority of the watches I own/work on are round.
I wish the dial were in better shape. Keeping my eye on ebay for a donor with a nicer dial to pop up. I don't think the watch is worth much, so I am not gonna pour a lot into it.
1941 Bulova Norman is a good match

Appears to be advertised as a Ladies watch
Saw a Commodore on ebay. Mine looks a lot like it. Must be different dimensions?
