Nice little 17 Jewel here.  Stainless back.  Timeless engraving.  I believe we have a perfect match to the '41 ad for the Commodore.

Agree, great advert match.

Interesting case serial number...possible mis-strike ?

1940 Commodore by movement date. I suggested a while ago that the cases we see from this time period that start with a "dash" might be Bulova supplied replacement cases. First number of the 7 indicates date, so a factory replacement case would not be indicative of year as it could be used for any year in the style run. Just a theory.
