Being going through all my Bulova's this week. OK, here is another one I don't know the model. It has a 21 jewel adjusted caliber 6AE movement, nice jewled caps on some of the train wheels. 10kt gold filled case marked Bulova, Fifth Ave., New York . The dial appears to be a earlier redial. The curved case measures 20.00mm less crown by 45.65mm lug to lug, nice length.
36 President
Totally agree with John (JP). 1936 President. Has a very nice clean dial.
Is there a advert for this model? Can't say for sure, but President 1936 may not be the model. Saw a 36 President before and it had a different case and dial configeration.

Here is advert

Nice Prez.
There are several variations of this model in the mid-forties, and just like the Minute man and the American Clipper, not all variants are advertised, or at least we haven't seen them all yet!
Edit-I meant thirties, not forties!
Very interesting. It appears Bulova changed the dial and movement on the 1936 President from a no seconds 6AE movement to a 7AP movement with a seconds dial but kept the same case configeration. I knew I had seen a President with a 7AP in the past ,so I had to question my example. I wonder if there are other variants in 1936 and 1937 President?
FWIW, I have spoken with customers and collectors regarding the styles of this period in time, and have been told that it became fashionable to have a watch with no sub second hand, and that it was seen as a formal or 'dress' watch.
I agree - it's a President
Thanks for all the information. Would be nice to have the bracelet that came with the President.
President.
