Recent discoveries also make it highly possible that the Hudson Maxim branding had nothing to do with the man himself, as Bulova at one time had seperate entities/branding/trademarks for both the Hudson Watch Company and the MAXIM branding. It's possible 'Hudson Maxim' is just a combination of the two.

That's entirely possible Stephen. Hudson Maxim's photo was used in some early Elgin watch advertisements.

Merc, did you mean American Standard Watch Case Company or American Standard Watch Company? They were two different companies.

I don't remember for sure. It was in something I was reading on the NAWCC website about a week ago. I remember the case had a globe symbol stamped in it.

I went back searching for what I read and I found the Standard American Watch Co. and the American Watch Case Co. I guess the two got mixed up in my old brain. I apologize for the mistake.

Hmm I wonder if this is a typo and they missed the word 'Case'?

So from that article I get that the US made movements were done at Woodside and the cases at Sag Harbor. Is this how others read it?

Movements

"But this factor led to organization expansion and Increased production at Bulova's wholly-owned subsidiary at Woodside, the American Standard Watch Company."

Cases

"This plant, engaged in the manufacture of watch cases, is located at Sag Harbor, L. I."
