Oh goody, oh goody!!

Submitted by Daca102090 on

Well, last week I was talking with a local jeweler and he mentioned possibly finding time to dig out the old dusty box with the bulovas in it.  ;>0 well after I non-chalantly wiped the drool from my chin I made an appointment for tommorrow afternoon.

I might also mention that this jeweler sold me a 49 yellow gold Conrad in fair condition but needing the movement cleaned for $10!!!

The wife and I are looking forward to this little treasure hunt.

I have no clue on this one...

I've searched the database and come up empty. Date code on movement is circle stamped overtop of X.

This crystal is glass and came with the watch. Consider the possibility that it is original? I have a few other similar NOS Glass Crystals...slightly smaller with BULOVA label on them.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I have gone through the pages of watches with the 7AK movement.  The movment has a "48" stamp on it.  I cannot seem to find a case that has matching lugs and scalloping on the side.  I've come across a double "scallop" design, but not the single that is pictured.  The watch also has 14k Yellow Gold case.  Please help as I am trying to help a customer of mine identify and determine the value of this watch.  Thanks.

Watch Description

I inherited this watch from an aunt who may have purchased it in the 1960s. It is14k white gold with a round face set with diamonds. The back has stamped 14k Bulova and 416886. The side near the stem is stamped 585. The movement is stamped Bulova watch Co, seventeen jewels, 17, Swiss, M1, adjusted and 8A. I am guessing the date is 1961. The bracelet is not the original and also 14k gold.

Can anyone identify this watch?

I inherited the watch from an aunt who probably bought it in the 1960's on a trip to the US.  It is 14k white gold and has diamonds round the front dial.  The back is stamped 14k Bulova and 416886.  585 is stamped near to the stem and crown.  The movement is stamped 17 jewels, swiss, Bulova watch Co, M1, and GA (not sure if it is a G) in a box.  I know that the bracelet is not the original.
