Ok I am trying to translate the hands info we have ...I have an unidentified 7AK in a tank case, dated 1946 in white gold signed properly grey dial white (silver) fils hands...and I need a secs hand (sub dial). From what I can figure I need a #65wi or #65wm, what I dont know is the hand length and height..please all of you semi pros help !! And if you have one, even better.

It appears to be a Director but in white gold fill, grey dial.

Also need a set of white fils hands including subsec for a 10AK (should be same hands as 7AK)....Any one?

The White ones are hard to find,  the bay may be your best bet.

'INDEX' style sub Hand.

'INDEX' style Hands are the Gilt 'FILS' style, if You catch My drift. lol

'FILS' Hands are Black.

Cas-ker will have them if all else fails.

Ok then I need 2 white (silver) sub secs and 1 ea hr and min Index hands .

Casker has kits of generics....is that what you mean Fifth? cant find Bulova specific hands on there...

Hey Shooter, A pic of the watch and dial they are needed for would help identify what you really need.

Can't help if 7ak is the only hint to go with. I doubt it's white you need, that was mostly reserved to military watches of WWII era. You probably need grey or silver, just guessing here though.

Yea its silver but I didnt see silver in the hands section and I assumed white was white gold...look at Waynes 46 Director below those are what I need.

Shooter,

You are correct - Bulova refers to Silver (the color) as White.

Their Gold Hands are 'Gilt' in Jewelers terms, which a very thin layer of Gold layed over a base metal,  the early (late 30's - 40's) Silver color Index style Hands are White Gilt (?)

Bulova hands are supplied in different styles and also different lengths.  You'll have to know not only the model and style but the size as well.  I don't have anything that indicates which model took what size.
