I was looking for a 30j ,10BZAC donor movement which I want to have in stock in case I ever need spare parts. I am looking for one for quite some time now and they seem to have become scarce.
What I do come across quite frequently is a 23j version with the same movement designation 10BZAC. Was the 10BZAC produced as a 23j and 30j and if so are the parts interchangeable? Of course except for that parts that make the jewel difference.
Hello,
Yes, I believe the 10BZAC was produced as 23J and 30J... possibly even a 21J. Most parts are interchangeable between the 23 and 30. There are some parts that interchange with other Bulova models such as 10BOAC, 10CBAC, 10BPAD, and others depending upon the part in question. Hope that helps!
Jeff
Family:
10BZ: manual wind, sub second.
10BZA: automatic, sub second.
10BZAC: automatic, sweep center second.
10BZC: manual wind, sweep center second.
As Jeff mentioned came in 23J and 30J. the 30 Jeweled movements would be the Automatics. Parts interchangeability is limited on this movement.
