So it is possible that the Viking in actually a lower jewelled (15) version of the President?
We don't have any examples in the database, but out of the 19 we have, only two have this subsecond hand configuration instead if the rotating second hand dial. Both of them still however house a 21J movement.
Still a great advert find.

Interesting ad showing a 1936 Bulova Arthur. It looks to be the same watch as the Farragut. We have documented three jewel counts for the Farragut. 7, 15, 17. Makes me wonder if this is the name for one of the jeweled models.

I still think this might be a jewel count version of the Farragut or a name for this watch is southern states with Admiral Farragut was not highly esteemed in the South due to his Union naval history during the Civil War.

Interesting ad from 1934. Says "Marlan" semi-baguette and looks to be like the Annette baguette only wider. I also believe this to be a misprint and the name should be Marian which appears to be a Bulova name on the list.

For this price I'd be fairly certain it's a 15J watch. It's very similar to the Lone Eagle and would have labelled as such had I not seen the advert. I'm curious if this on is correct.
Perhaps the 15J version with what also looks to have an engraving pattern variation went by the Edison.

I did a little more digging and found this to be identical to the Laurel and also Dolores spelled in two ways. That being said there are lots of ads showing this as Dolores/Delores, some with 17J and some with 15J. The pricing does not align with a new model name based on jewel count. Once again Bulova makes no sense.
Dates are as follows:
Delores: Dec 1935 - Jun 1936 Price $37.50 - Half ads say 17J other have say 15J
Laurel: Nov 1935 - Dec 1936 Price $37.50 - 15J
Putting this one out there. It is a 1930 ad for a Conrad which is the earliest date for this name. Looks like its the same as the Bertram but it is possible it is a name for a all white or all yellow case.
