Submitted by Ellierose on

hello people i am trying to repair a 10ae and the factroy setting lever spring broke, i have a new used one from my watchmaker but it does not want to line up properly with the screw holes...Should there be tension on the spring so i will be able to keep it in a working a position and screw it down...

There is generally a small amount of tension but not enough to keep you from lining up the screws.  Are you sure its the right one?  Does it match up with the old one?

yes it was the right one what i found out was happening was that , the longer barrel bridge screw was in the wrong place...I am new to this and didn't know a screw like that would mess up installing something like that...know i will know. But also the screw was in the wrong place when i removed in the first place...but now its ok ...there will be a new clipper on ebay tonite

Yes, regarding screws, there's one "shorty"!! Good luck with the auction.
