Sorry for not having replied earlier and taken some photos - been very unwell these past couple of days. I promise to put up better photos tomorrow!
I believe that it has a rolled gold finish - not sure the karat as I bought it a few years back

On the mechanism - Bulova Watch Co. 17 jewels, 11AL
unadjusted swiss, MXV- just below the time adjustment,
Engraved on the inside of the case (I thought they were scratches!) 'U3 jgc/092 CROWN',
' H6804B 5UNAY', '179CRY57L', and now I think I'm going blind!
I hope that this makes some sense and please take into account that I may have some of the letters/numbers wrong as this is the first time I've read watchmakers engravings.
