Welcome to myBulova! These watches with the diamond dials are very cool, congrats.
I found two 1949 ads with your dial but a different case. These ads came from two different jewelers so they were probably models. As with yours being the second we have seen.
I will go with a tenative by the case for now until we find an ad with this dial.
