Watch Description

1979 Bulova Accutron Quartz TZ

Model 2426.10  with Time Zone feature and Accuset button

10K RGP case back with PG&E service award inscription

This came with the case and manual. Strap is not Bulova.

I'll be searching for a correct gasket (case #3780), as this one needs replacing. I am assuming that the ink stamped number in the caseback is the serial number.

A handsome watch that is keeping great time!

Otteray - I just noticed your comment about the ink stamped number. That is the case reference number, you'll order the gasket using that case number.

Something I discovered about the time correction button on these watches that correct the time, if off within  + or - 30 seconds, when pressed when the second hand is at 12.

If pressed in the quarter hour, the watch stops for 15 seconds.

Pressed at the half hour, it advances a full minute. Pressed at the three-quarter hour, it advances 30 seconds.

Nothing in any manual that I've seen mentions that.

As indicated by Geoff, the 3780 stamp is the case model number used to reference parts.

I'll try and see if I can find the relevant part number for a gasket.
