Correct, movement was manufactured in 1926, but the watch was released in 1927. Obviously it takes time before the movement makes it out to the market.
So case SN suggests 1926 too. Do the mvnt serial numbers suggest 1927 release date? Lots of 10AN's in database. Conqueror?
Did it possibly come in a 15 jewel version of that same movement??

Interesting two ads from 1927. one states 17 jewel, the next 15 jewel w/ curved back case.

a humdinger Will!
Based on the 1926 Movement Datecode and the Case Seriel number beginning with a 6 IMO the subject Watch would have to be the 'CONQUEROR', or am I missing something?
The Roman numerals III, VI and II (3, 6 and 2) cut into the edge of the case on the bottom photo should match the last three numbers of the case serial number, but they do not.
Does that not suggest it has been made up from different parts and is not original?
Should be like this:

The last three case number matches the "IIII, VIIII, VIII" (4, 9, 8) on the middle movement holder section.

Yea Bobbee- a movement swap w/ a 1926 movement in a 1926 case ID'ed as 1927 Lone Eagle. These common marriages make it harder to say things about distinction btwn LE CC and Conqueror for this year. The Roman Numerals etched in movement holder correlation to last three digits of movement serial number is great. The odds of this being random or even haphazard are pretty low, especially if we have several examples of this relationship :)
Are you talking about the posted watch or the example I used?
Posted watch has got mixed case parts, non-original.
My example pic is of a Conqueror from 1926.
Case serial numbers should also be within a range of 5,000 too, if the theory is correct. According to Stephen's theory, I quote:
"The movement (sn) will always start with 22XXXX, and the case (sn) will be either 65XXXXX or 66XXXXX."
The case sn on the subject watch is more than 74,500 away from it's nearest neighbour, nowhere near a range of 5,000.
