Note the bottom watch has a name, apparently, the "Aristocrat", but looks like the "Duchess" from an earlier 1924 ad above.

Bobbee Do you have a higher resolution version of this ad? I'm making a list of new model names not currently in the watch/ad database, and referencing the ads from which these new model names come. Bottom right looks like the Mercury, but without bezel engraving. Not seen in DB.
Here are a couple of interesting ads from June 1927.
The larger one from June 4th. advertises the coming of the World's Smallest Watch, as presented to Queen Marie of Roumania, and also awarded to the winner of the Miss America contest of 1926. The smaller one below has a bad res of the actual watch, depicted as "smaller than a dime", from an ad dated a week later, June 11th.

April 1929 The American Legion pg68. Interesting ad listing features of the Dust-tite Protector, and other Bulova movement features. Surly Bulova generated feature list, but in a second party ad.

Dec 20th 1922 The Seattle Star- Second Party Ad by Jeweler using Bulova "matt" copy. One day later than Bobbee's ad above, but with earlier matt material, as evidenced by the cheaper prices for same models. Most, but not all the model prices in the full ad are lower than what the models sold for in other contemporary first party Bulova ads at this time.

Newspaper ad from July 3, 1927. It's from the Milwaukee Sentinel. Advertised price for the Lone Eagle is $50. This ad was published about five weeks after the actual flight. Mentions the box and letter.

WOW - I have been in that building!! It's across the stree from a hotel I stay in when I go to Milwaukee for business. #616 is currently occupied by a small city market/package store. And yes Bob, I read the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel when I'm in that town!!

Based on price differences and knowledge of other ads-with the exception of those with diamonds or other precious stones or platinum components, it looks like solid gold model numbers end in even numbers, and filled gold end in odd model numbers....
I wonder if we had a Bulova Price List from 1929...would we see these model numbers, with the model names next to them, like we do in the price lists from the 1950's and 1960's?
