Nice piece Mark, bet it's almost half 18K by weight in that case! Be nice to get that band renovated, don't see many, if any, cloth bands this old.
EDIT: Case SN looks like it begins with a 4 not a 1 to me.

I still think the first number in the case SN looks like a mis-struck 4, and would be closer to the movement's date of post April 1923, due to the company name changing to Bulova Watch co. at that time.

Just a word on Gold Filled-In the US, Gold filled for 10k is 1/10 by weight, 12k or higher is 1/20 by weight. It has been governed by the Federal Trade Comission since 1914. Despite what many sellers on eBay may think, melting down or refining gold filled jewellery yields very little gold, especially as many of the scrap pieces are very old and brassed through. 18k GF wears the fastest due to the alloy being slightly softer, and is less common.
The movt here is our ubiquitous FHF Robert, similar to the AS 340, and both under the ETA umbrella at the time. These movts were extremely common and used by many now-extinct watch companies. I would agree with 156 and 1921. Original crown, nice find.

The 10AP came before the 10AN funnily enough, so that may have been the movement that superceeded the 10AI.
