Gents,

I have several autos that all have the same problem...the winding weights all have excessive 'wobble'...any help??? I have removed the weight on a 10csc and cannot see what the problem is unless the weight rides on a shaft that actually goes into the main body of the mvmnt, as this one stops flush with the winding weigh drive gear (on the shaft at the weight end)...shaft broke??? Any help greatly needed lol

 Hi Shooter,

The axle that the rotor rides on could be broken or bent. Also (and I see this a lot) The hole in the rotor bushing gets worn and widened from wear. If this happens, I usually replace the entire rotor.

 Very easy to replace a worn rotor... no disassembly required. Usually just have to remove a screwed- down yoke that holds the rotor in place.

Different story of the axel is broken.

I have at least one broken axle...probably more. I can take them down and put em back together, with a  clean and oil. Just never messed with an auto yet. Do you have a good source for rotors?

Will do...Just finished my first clean and lube of an auto...11ALAC from a '64 Bulova '23'..shes ticking away as I type !!! And keeping time  lol and WoW was that a PITA !!!!!
