Ladies watch with simple black dial with bark effect silver tone strap - strap not marked stainless steel, or plated. Single diamond at 12 o'clock. Bulova at top of dial and Quartz on bottom of the dial face.
I've recently inherited this Bulova Watch that belonged to my grandmother. She purchased the watch in 1981 - I have the original Bulova Guarantee - and I'm trying to research the date it was actually made. I've been trying to match the various components inside the watch to a particular date, but it looks like it may be a bit of a hybrid? Am I right in thinking the date code is 1970? The problem is that this doesn't seem to match with the 2650.10 reference inside. Also the fact that it is eight jewels and the stamp on the inside of the case - 10322 seems to indicate later than 1970? I have spent a few happy hours researching various models and dates, but can't seem to find this particular variant. I'd be very grateful for any further information and/or any suggestions as to where I can find the model and date. I really like the watch, although I have fallen in love with quite a few of the earlier 1930s watches. I have seen some absolutely beautiful watches on here. Just to add that the guarantee gives no model number or date. Thanks so much for any help you can give.
Thank you for your comment! Yes, it is a lovely heirloom and I've really enjoyed discovering the world of Bulova vintage watches and seeing all the incredible variations and different models people have posted. I had no idea Bulova had been making watches for so long. I've attached a picture of the back of the case - it's completely blank. Hope this link works ok. Still very new to the site and how it works. /sites/default/files/uploaded_photos/user27707/Bulova%20ladies%20watch%20back%20of%20case%20040826.jpg

Thank you very much for looking! I must admit I am stumped. I couldn't seem to make the various bits of information I had fit with any particular date. So any hints/clues would be extremely helpful in maybe solving the mystery and also explain why I can't seem to find this particular variant linked to a known model/style.

Thanks so much for the input and your research. I've had a look at so many different models and dates and, as you say, can't seem to find the same features on any so far. It was bought in the UK in 1981 (date stamp inside the guarantee booklet), which is what I found strange, as the date NO stamped inside, dated the watch at 1970 . Then when I started searching the other components - the strap, dial, model movements and inside case stamp, as well as the 8 jewels and quartz features, it just seemed to get more and more confusing. Ah, just realised maybe I needed to mention that I'm in the UK, not the USA - so very sorry if that's what has thrown you! Many apologies....
