Sorry folks, not a Bulova, but I had to share it. Gruen Airflight (pilot watch) on the original band circa 1958 -1962. Bizarre complication changes all numbers on the face at midnight (1-12) and noon (13-24).

This fellow showed up in my mail box yesterday. Fortunately I had a bracelet almost identical to the original. I haven't taken it off yet, not sure I will.

I've only had modern Bulovas from the Precisionist and Accutron II lines before, all of which were bigger than I would have liked. This is a bit of a change from those.

Recently restored using a combination of all original parts from 2 watches, a 1977 Bulova Quartz Digital #81301
Will be adding to the database shortly once I have all the photos. My first Bulova Quartz Digital.

Not correct original watch bracelet. But the patterns do match. Had to find the original bands.

When adding the wrist bands, it really helps make this older smaller watch's look at that much better. Might have to get myself some of them.

I don’t collect the presentation boxes except for the unique ones like Miss America or the Military cases. However, I really try to find the original matching watch band for the watch. It’s a challenge.
2025 Bulova Marine Star E1 Team Miami, reference 96B460. Marc Anthony, Latin/salsa musician, is a brand rep for Bulova and owns the E1 team (electric boat racing), they won the championship last year. The only quartz watch I own but I just love the color splash it makes (pun intended). Of course I wore it to the beach tonight. PS - it's on sale on the Bulova web site right now.

Beauty! How can anyone not smile and be happy looking at those colors? Everyone poo-poos quartz watches. But they are lightweight, cheap, and very accurate. I have a dozen or so. It counting Swatch watches. Mostly triple calendars or chronographs.

I don't know what they represent other than the year? '25. It was the color that caught my eye.
Wristwatch Wednesday !
Wearing a S.A. Lapanouse watch from late 50s early 60s ( probably 60s). 
This is a Swiss made one jewel pin lever S.A. Lapanouse watch. Yep, one jewel reserved for the balance wheel. Definately used in low budget watches of the 50s and early 60s. These were known as poor man’s chronographs. Although using the term chronograph is generous. At best it’s a lap timer. But more of a stop watch with no reset function. Like I said low budget watch.
It works using a pin-lever escapement and includes an indirect minute and hand friction clutch on the barrel. The movement stops only the seconds hand, while the minute and hour counters remain coupled to the hands gear and continue running. It has functions for 60-second, 45-minute, and 6-hour counters.
I own several of these and am pretty good at repairing them. Even though they hold no horological significance I love them and their dial designs. I call them “Crappy Lappys”.

Almost wore this one today, it came yesterday....decided to let it rest on that shelf for a while instead, I might never wear it. (PS - I might not be the only member of this forum who owns a Bulova 98B452 watch.)
