Handsome watch. Based on date of 1966, it looks to me to be a 

1966 Date King "U"

i saw them in db but mine is yellow with a silver dial. probably another variant.

i had to look twice, i was thinking it was not a waffle dial .... but its the resolution pixel of the pictures as we see at the bottom of the picture🤣 so the dial on pictures is not textured. so, i think you got the good match, let see if other will see the good thing ! or fall into the illusion😀
