Thank you for posting your watch. Your watch does not date from 1945 butfrom the 60's. I see an M1 date code on the movement which would be 1961 but we normally date watches based on case back date code. I see a M2 which would make this a 1962 model. Based on the 1962 Linebook this appears to be a 1962 Bulova 23 Calendar "P".

I am on east coast time so it gives me an advantage...LOL
It currently has a problem where when held so that the 12 points to the floor, it occasionally stops. My local citizen/bulova repair shop hasn't been able to figure it out so I thought about replacing the entire movement. Are there any charts that detail which movements would be compatible for swapping if I can't find exactly a 10bzacd?

Hi Boolamoo! I think replacing the movement with one of a different caliber would greatly depreciate the value of your watch. If it only stops when the 12 position is pointing towards the floor it could be the oscillating weight for the self winding mechanism is lightly touching the balance wheel. There could just be a part worn out in that assembly.
