Identification Help

Submitted by ngtomlinson on

I recently received this watch as a gift. Apparently the seller did not know much about the watch. I've done some research and can't find much that matches this particular Bulova. Any help in identifying model/year would be great. I have included images with as much information as I can find on the watch.

Harringtom? Ivanhoe? Maybe the case. but....

Submitted by William Smith on

So I got this watch.  I check the ads but to no avail.  Case is L3.  I look through 1953/54 watches and discussions, finding Harrington and Ivanhoe for the case.  But the crystal.  And the diamond dial.  Then I open case and the 17J 8AE movement is from 1947.  O well.  I don't know these dials by model or year(s) at all! I can only say this watch was cobbled together after 1953..and that didn't require much research on my pary :)  Now what do I do.  Is it worthy of entry into the database?

Late 1960s Sea King?

Submitted by ALF on

I hope that someone may be able to help me identify a watch found after my father died.  It has an unusual case shape that  have not seen before.  The movement code is 11ANACD.  M9 on the back implies a 1969 build date.  I am trying to identify it so i can begin the refurbishing process for my son.  Any help would be appreciated

Help with this watch

known

I picked this up from a co-worker this week, thinking it would be good for my 9 year old son who likes vintage watches. It is getting a nice black leather band. It runs great it is stamped M6 on the case and  M5 on the 7BPC movement. Case number is 2-108915. I am pretty sure its a ladies watch but it is the perfect size for a child. I cant find any info about it anywhere. Any info would be nice. Thanks

Military Moonphase mis-match

Submitted by William Smith on

Hi

We beat this one up pretty good a few years ago- but I don't remember the outcome, and I had not opened it up at that time.  The old "thread" musta dissapeared when admin updated website a couple years ago.

I swear the moonphase index was indexing when I first got this.  Now I'm pretty sure I'm just forgetful.
