lots of watches and ads

There are 388 vintage ads in the ad database section, 1265 watch records in the "known" or "identified" database section, and, surprisingly only 368 watch records in the "unknown" database section.  Lots of watch ID's have been assigned, whether unrated, unconfirmed, tentative, or confirmed.  I'd say this site's resources have had the single biggest impact on Bulova model ID'ing anywhere....and over the last five plus years, we don't know how many personal collection pieces may have ID'ed their watches with mybul

Well, last week I was talking with a local jeweler and he mentioned possibly finding time to dig out the old dusty box with the bulovas in it.  ;>0 well after I non-chalantly wiped the drool from my chin I made an appointment for tommorrow afternoon.

I might also mention that this jeweler sold me a 49 yellow gold Conrad in fair condition but needing the movement cleaned for $10!!!

The wife and I are looking forward to this little treasure hunt.

So I already had one of these with the original band....

But not in the original box with the original band!!  Woot!

I'm okay with the price.  Essentially what I paid for the other one I have without the box.

So now... I guess we see which one is more box worthy and maybe re-"gift" the other. =)

Interesting Non-Conforming story

So I bought this ad.  It shows an array of c1960 "Ladies" watches w/ "custom cases" by Allerton Company".  It's a two page ad, only one page shown below.  It was not Bulova marketing and its unclear how the actual watch cases were signed, but the dials were original Bulova dials signed as such.

nice site, i think that is why the bulovas have increased on ebay

Just wanted to say i have been collecting bulovas since 2003 seriously but all of my life in reality.  I have noticed that the bulova"s seemed to be going for more on e-bay during the last year, and could not figure this out.  Well once i found this site and all the wonderful information that you folks have put together i now know why.  This is the most informative site on watch collecting i have ever seen and i just wanted to say thank you.  Once i figure out how to post pictures here i will try to add some of my watches and add to the site and not just take away f
