First of all don't kill me, I know it's not a Bulova but it's so so cool I thought you guys and gals might want to see it. It's a Benrus case that I got without a movement. Put a 10AN in there just for laughs. As you can see it is very much like the cut corner Lone Eagle in shape with really interesting blue enamelling in a nautical motif. My plans are to shop around for the appropriate Benrus movement for this really neat watch. So is it a Bulorus or a Benova?

Somebody outbid me on a running 'Blackout' this morning. I hope it was someone on here, who will appreciate the value of this relatively rare model!!
Several have been seen:
No Caseback seriel number higher than 450.
All dated 1944.
Anyone familiar with or have information on this rarety?
Have any of you noticed how many "Lone Eagles" continue to come up for auction? Many of which are not even CLOSE! This kind of Misinformation can really muddy the waters of history for future generations. Just a thought!
