Has there ever been an Academy Award model with "Excellency" on the face ? 

hi ive just got a 1974 ladies accutron calibre 2302.when i opened the case to see if the battery was in it [which it was], around the circumferance of the case was a black sealant type stuff which was still soft, could anyone tell me if this is a common practice to put this type of thing in.

I've had this NOS case and tag for years but haven't been able to find which dial and movement it should have.

I had planed to sell it on that popular auction site but decided to see if the members here can figure out what dial/movement configuration the case would have had.

Hi, first of all I would thank every one involved for this resource. I had three questions on a Bulova commander 1964 with a COAC movement.

When I open the case, the inside is stamped made in W. Germany, I am puzzled??

Second question is that the stem is loose, does this model watch use a stem sleeve ?

Last question is about the crown, is there a specific part number for the crown?

The crown mechanism jams and. I longer easily flips the date.  

Also, the minute hand seems to run at 1/2 speed.  

Something onviosuly has broken inside.  

Is is simple enough to just replace the movement with a functioning. 2182 ?

the estimate I received for repair was $1000+

replawemt movements on eBay seem to be around $200. 

Hey guys I have had this 14k solid Bulova Patriot for some time and everytime I look at it it bugs me. The dial is hideous, green cracking, dirty. It isn't a nice patina and is quite unappealing when wearing. I have been looking for a replacement dial for quite sometime. Seems I missed one on ebay quite some time ago. Does anyone have a spare? Also, if not would this dial constitute a redialing? I don't like redialed watches but this may be an exception. Thoughts?

Does anyone know where I can get a compatable strap for this watch?

I found this Bulova dial in a parts lot.  it is quite large at 24mm and copper color with printed hour markers.  Does this ring a bell with anyone.  I cannot seem to find anything similar in size on the site.

Has Bulova ever used a case with a caseback marked Cased and Timed by Precision Watchcraftsment?  I suspect that the watch I have has been recased but it looks quite good together.
