New old stock with original tags and stickers bearing model number. Mounted on original leather as seen in linebooks. Based on band condition, it's never been on the wrist. As per tray shown in 1977linebook

Nice!
1977 Clipper Set-O-Matic 12651
This should be 1977 Bulova Model #12651-6Y

Take note it appears in the linebooks in a tray labeled by Bulova as Clipper Set-O-Matic with each individual watch assigned a model number.
So, this is a great example of how tricky it can be to accurately provide a model ID.
Is it a:
- Bulova Model #12651-6Y
- Bulova Clipper
- Bulova Clipper Set-O-Matic
- Bulova Clipper Set-O-Matic #12651-6Y
Panel is Set-O-Matic on the dial the same as 'Snorkel' where it is describing a feature of the watch rather than a name?
Should we recognise the Set-O-Matic as either a model name in its own right or at the very lease as part of a model name, such as the Clipper Set-O-Matic?

Well.....I prefer option 5 - Bulova Clipper 12651-6Y (with a Set-O-Matic movement complication) This complication allowed setting the the day and date from the second crown setting by rotating forward for day and back for date.
Did a little more research and found this ad. Clearly indicates this is a Clipper. I believe we should just call this 1977 Bulova Clipper Model #12651-6Y

works for me.
Further confirmation of the Clipper line of watches.
