Watch Description

This watch was given to my father by my mother in the early seventies. It was purchaced at Zales Jewlers at South Dekalb Mall near Atlants Ga.. The purchace price was around 2K. I know it's a Accuquartz and is 18 k gold.

I have 2 questions:

1: Does the second hand sweep or tick?

2: What would be the chance of finding extra links for the band?

Thank You in advance for any information.

Mr Smith, how could I make that happen?

OliverB has provided your answers if you care to look for them.  The movement you need is 2242. You should be able to get a correct movement put into it for around $100 and I doubt that if the  hassle to try to get Bulova to pay for it would be economical.

I have the same watch but mine isn't in a solid gold case and certainly doesn't have that wonderful bracelet but it does have an integral bracelet. I also have an Accuquartz with the quartz movement conversion and so does Oliver. Bulova apparently did quite a bit of that.
