Thank you for posting your watch.  Based on the original Bulova linebooks your watch is a 1970 Bulova Clipper AC.  Funny coincidence is that I am wearing a 1976 Jimmy Carter From Peanuts to President watch at this moment with the EXACT SAME bracelet as you have on your watch.

Good ad match; I agree with Clipper 'AC' model.

1970 Bulova Clipper AC, 17 jewel automatic movement.  Unused for 40 years.  Time function operates.  Can set time but not date.

Does the date advance at midnight or not at all.  Some of the bulova movments did not have a quick set date.  Others you have to pull the crown out all the way to change the date and others you have to push the dial inward.

This is a 'found' watch that belonged to someone who passed 40 years ago.  I don't know anything about the workings of the watch itself.  Despite having been dormant for the past 40 years, it keeps very good time, and the date does advance at midnight.

As far as I can tell their are only two positions for the stem -- in and out.  In the 'out' position I can change the time, but to change the date I have to advance the time 24-hours to advance the date by one.  Perhaps that is the way the movement was designed.  I'm reluctant to force the stem out further, even if there is a second position.  I don't want to break anything.

I'm not sure what is meant by pushing the dial inward.  Did you mean pushing the stem inward?  After setting the time in the second position, mentioned above, I push the stem inward to the first position.  At this point the end of the stem (sorry, I don't know the correct terminology) is against the case and further movement inward is not possible.

I have this watch (case 3014), it does not have any date quickset as it comes with the 11ANACD movement. You can change the date more quickly by turning the hands until the date changes at midnight, then turn the hand in reverse until about 8:30 PM or so and you will hear a slight 'click'. Then you can advance the hands forward past midnight and the date will turn over again.
