Watch Description

Going out on a limb, I'm going to say 1969 Sea King. There's another 69 Sea King in the database, but the lugs are different on that one. There must be some Sea King variants?

Thanks, TQ

After some digging, I have a theory. Based on linebook entries, I suspect that in 1970, Bulova may have started phasing out multiple Sea King models and renamed some of them Clipper, similar to the "Snorkel/Oceanographer switch". Bulova used the "Snorkel" tag as a name in the mid sixties and then only on the dial after about 1969 for the Oceanographer line.  The original watch name becoming a reference to water resistance.

That sounds reasonable, but they must have started the phase-out in 1969, based on the date codes on this watch.

Thanks,
