Originally wind-up, replaced with battery power only.
The box says it's a Diamond Empress, but without the original movement I hesitate to give it a nice name. Is the crown original?
I know it's sad that the original movement is gone but the crown is original, with the "B" engraving.
Do you have a photo of the inside movement? Sourcing an original Bulova mechanical movement may not be that hard.
I'm just trying to get rid of it. But that would make it easier to sell.... Decisions....
To a collector, the value is lost with the movement swap, so anyone that would buy this would look only at Gold melt value, and not consider the Diamonds.
I may have a 23J movement that will fit this watch, I will need the caseback measurments to be sure, in millimeters to be exact.

worth checking into , its a nice watch, although as most of us know, the ladies models later than the '20's arent very sought after yet... make a good watch for the gf or wife for sure.

Unless it is solid Gold and encrusted with real Diamonds with the original case,....that is a different story.
Too blurry to see case back. ....or front for that matter. Was the ID based on an ad or the box in which the movement-swapped watch may have originally sold? How was 1969 date determined? Seems unconfirmed w/o a little more info.

On my Lone Eagle w/ a 10AN movement swap from ten years after case date, I had changed to Non-conforming. Admin and Plains had thought it was ok as Lone Eagle, that I just mentioned the movement swap in the comments field. I remember there were exceptions surrounding non-conforming, but with a battery mvent in subject watch above, this is not an exception. However it was unclear in my LE example. So I agree non-conforming in subject watch, but it currently has two stars, so do I give one star for unconfirmed, or wait for the possibility that someone will change the record to non-Conforming? ...or am I again taking this (and myself) to serious.
